Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is one of our key offerings at Power Core MMA. A combat sport based on ground fighting, grappling, locks, and holds, BJJ is an essential discipline for modern MMA fighters. Originally developed as a system of self-defence, BJJ focuses on controlling timing and leverage to defeat your opponent – regardless of size.
In our BJJ classes, you’ll learn the skills to gain a dominant position and submit your opponent, using techniques such as sweeps, guards and attacks. You’ll gain insights through demonstrations, as well as first-hand experience via supervised rolling with other members in the class.
Our Head Coach and fighters are all highly experienced and compete regularly throughout the year. Once you’re confident on the mats, we invite our members to consider competing, as a way to accelerate your development and test your skills. Training is open to all, whether you aim to compete or not.
